Liz Teitz will join the San Antonio Express-News to cover growth in the Hill County and along I-35.
She will begin in June.
Currently, Teitz is a reporter at Colorado-based weekly newspaper Ouray County Plaindealer and Report for America.
She also covered state politics and higher education for Hearst Connecticut Media Group via the Hearst Journalism Fellowship program. Previously, she worked at the San Antonio Express-News from August 2018 to August 2019 as an education reporter.
She also reported for Hearst-owned newspaper the Beaumont Enterprise and was a collegiate correspondent at USA Today. She interned at WJAR-TV Ch. 10, an NBC-affiliate in Providence.
Teitz graduated from Georgetown University.
