
Tech journalist Alex Heath is leaving The Verge and launching a podcast for Vox Media with brand strategist Ellis Hamburger.
Called “Access,” the weekly show will focus on the tech industry’s inside conversation, with a special focus on the rise of artificial intelligence and how it’s reshaping products, companies and culture.
The show will launch Sept. 18 be available on audio and video platforms, including Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, with new episodes out weekly on Thursdays.
“I’ve spent my career uncovering how the tech industry really works,” says Heath in a statement. “Now, the AI boom is reshaping everything about how products are built and companies are run. With “Access,” we’ll go deeper than the headlines and bring people into the conversations with the people shaping our future.”
Heath is the founder of “Sources,” an independent publication that will launch Wednesday, chronicling how AI is upending Silicon Valley and beyond.
Most recently deputy editor at The Verge, Heath’s reporting has been cited in congressional hearings, and been featured on everything from Saturday Night Live to the New York Times. He will also be a contributor for The Verge.
