Handler moves to Congress beat for Bloomberg Tax

Bloomberg Law reporter Samantha Handler is moving to a new beat covering Congress for Bloomberg Tax.

Both are part of Bloomberg Industry Group.

She had been covering the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She previously covered the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and copyright and trademark litigation at Bloomberg Law.

Her work has also appeared in Bloomberg Government, U.S. News & World Report, and the Gotham Gazette in New York.

She graduated from Northwestern University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
