Bloomberg News pharma reporter Damian Garde is returning to STAT News to work on events in addition to reporting.
“Damian’s one of the most fluid and creative writers I have ever worked with, and he knows the biopharma industry like few others,” wrote Matthew Herper of STAT News on social media.
Garde had joined Bloomberg in April 2024 to cover large drug companies. He previously was national biotech reporter for STAT News. He was part of a team that won a 2022 Polk Award for reporting about covert lobbying of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
He co-writes The Readout newsletter and co-hosts “The Readout LOUD” podcast.
Prior to joining STAT in 2016, he spent four years covering drug development at FierceBiotech, and previously wrote for Patch.com and the Albuquerque Journal.
