Galioto to cover the future of cities for Star Tribune

Katie Galioto

Minneapolis Star Tribune reporter Katie Galioto is moving to the business desk to cover the future of the Twin Cities’ downtowns.

It’s a new role created on the premise that the fates of downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul are of interest to — and have implications for — the entire region.

Her beat includes topics ranging from real estate and workforce behaviors to policy impacts and tourism patterns.
Galioto previously covered St. Paul city government and the Duluth region for the Star Tribune. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame.
