FT launches “Working It” newsletter

The Financial Times has launched “Working It,” a weekly newsletter overseen by work and careers editor Isabel Berwick.

Podcast host Berwick will tackle a range of current and perennial workplace issues and “Working It” will serve audiences from senior managers leading hundreds to those starting out in their careers.

“Working It” is the first joint newsletter and podcast from the FT, a reflection of the increased popularity in audio as an introduction to FT journalism.

The newsletter will include behind-the-scenes details of the free podcast and a preview of the following week’s topic. Berwick and co-writer Sophia Smith in New York will regularly take on readers’ workplace questions and feature comments and feedback from subscribers.

“The world of work has been upended and it’s never going back to its pre-pandemic ‘normal,'” said Berwick in a statement. “‘Working It’ will help our readers navigate the ongoing uncertainty and keep ahead of the latest trends and shifts.”
