Freyman moving to new role at Morning Brew

Morning Brew managing editor Neal Freyman is moving to a new role at the newsletter publisher.

Freyman will focus more on hosting “Morning Brew Daily” and moving to an editor at large/advisory role for the newsletters.

Freyman was one of the first writers of Morning Brew, having joined the company when it was just four guys in a WeWork in 2017. As managing editor, he  works with a bigger team of talented writers and editors who publish the flagship newsletter seven times a week.

He previously worked in economic development. Freyman is a University of Maryland graduate.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
