Jordan Blum
Fortune has hired Jordan Blum as its energy editor.
He is based in Houston.
Blum previously was editorial director for Hart Energy and senior oil editor for S&P Global. He also spent nearly five years at the Houston Chronicle as its energy reporter.
He also worked at the Houston Business Journal. Blum was Washington bureau chief for The Advocate in Washington, D.C., where he reported on politics and regulation, including energy. Before that, he served six years for The Advocate in Baton Rouge, La., where he covered higher education, as well as key impact stories, including Deepwater Horizon and Hurricane Katrina.
Blum majored in journalism at Texas Christian University.
