Forbes Advisor hires Riquier to cover housing and mortgages

Forbes Advisor has hired MarketWatch.com reporter Andrea Riquier to cover mortgages and the housing market.

She had been covering the housing market at MarketWatch.com but most recently had ben covering the exchange traded fund beat for the publication.

Riquier has been with MarketWatch.com for nearly four years. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for Investor’s Business Daily, Debtwire and Bloomberg.

Riquier graduated with a master’s in journalism from Columbia University in 2011.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
