The following was sent out from Bloomberg:
Jessica Flood will join Bloomberg Media as its Global Head of Bloomberg Live and Bloomberg New Economy starting July 11th. In this newly-created role, Flood will oversee all areas of the business connected to both Bloomberg Live (Bloomberg Green Summit, Bloomberg Equality Summit, Bloomberg Technology Summit and more) as well as Bloomberg New Economy (BNE), including the flagship global Bloomberg New Economy Forum and new BNE platforms including Gateway and Catalyst. She will report to Bloomberg Media’s Chief Commercial Officer, Stephen Colvin.
From Flood: “I’m thrilled to be joining the exceptional team at Bloomberg Media to expand the company’s unmatched events offering. We have a huge opportunity at this unique moment in time to deliver new live formats that align with the needs of our audiences across video, TV, audio and print platforms. At the same time, we can use events to build true communities around our most significant verticals while enhancing experiences for our subscribers and brand partners. I look forward to working alongside the entire Bloomberg team to create events that shed light on issues of global significance.”
Flood was most recently Managing Director of NYT Events at The New York Times, where she established and implemented its business plan, brand identity and go-to-market strategy for events, experiences and live content. Previous to that, she held leadership roles at TEDxNewYork, served as New Lab’s VP of Partnerships and also spent time at SJX Partners and Sydney Opera House.
From Colvin: “We’re delighted to add Jess’ broad experience and vision to two fast-expanding businesses, Bloomberg Live and Bloomberg New Economy, which are both key parts of Bloomberg Media’s growth strategy. Her talent and energy will help supercharge this work, adding to the team’s strong foundation.”
