Financial journalists launch new advisory firm

The following excerpt was sent out from provokemedia.com:

Five senior financial journalists from leading European, US, EMEA and Asian financial media outlets have launched a new consulting and content firm, Resonate Global Advisors.

The five founding partners of the firm are: Nick Evans, who held senior editorial and executive roles at Euroweek (now Global Capital), Euromoney, the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda, Hedge Fund Intelligence, and HFM Global; Oliver Hawkins, Euromoney Institutional Investor’s Banking and Finance group publisher, and co-founder of structured finance conference firm DealCatalyst; Chris Wright, Asia and Middle East editor of Euromoney, editor of Asiamoney and investment editor of the Australian Financial Review; Jackie Horne, a former producer on the BBC’s flagship radio show Today and a senior editor for HSBC; and Nick Lord, an editor with the World Bank Group in Washington DC, a columnist for Barron’s in New York and director of communications for hedge fund Arrowgrass Capital Partners.

Both Horne and Lord were also co-owners and editors of FinanceAsia in Hong Kong, before selling it to the Haymarket Media Group.

The firm is headquartered in London, with offices and representation in Dubai, Hong Kong, Rome, Singapore and the US. The company was established to meet a growing need for high quality editorial content, white papers, client communications and content-consulting. The firm will also work on industry-focused event development, production and content.

Former Bloomberg TV anchor and feature writer John Dawson, who founded reputation management consultancy Acara Strategy in 2015, will be partnering with Resonate to lead the broadcast and conference hosting division.

Hawkins said: “As writers, editors, broadcasters, and publishers from leading specialist financial media, our team has unique depth of experience, knowledge and editorial expertise that we leverage for financial institutions and other businesses seeking to engage clients. We bring local market knowledge, awareness and insights that enable us to partner around the world on projects that drive new business opportunities and increase wallet share.”
