Rebecca Heilweil
Fast Company has hired Rebecca Heilweil as a senior writer.
She will start later this week.
Heilweil will be reporting on the technology industry broadly, including artificial intelligence, technology policy, and the commercial space industry.
She finishes her time as a reporter at FedScoop this month, where she broke stories about the government’s interest in Grok, Midnight Blizzard, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Before joining FedScoop, she wrote for a variety of outlets, including Vox/Recode, Fortune, the Wall Street Journal, and Wired. She’s also working on a history of the International Space Station, to be published by Astra House in 2027.
