Jon Fingas, a reporter at tech news site Engadget, is leaving after 11 years.
He founded Electronista in 2006, soon after receiving his master’s degree in English, and became an associate editor at Engadget in 2012. He has since covered everything from crypto to politics.
He began running Engadget’s weekend coverage in late 2017 and was formally promoted to weekend editor in 2021. After being promoted to a reporter role in 2022, he has devoted more time to features.
Fingas holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Ottawa.
