Detroit radio journalist Neher departs for Automotive News

Jake Neher

Jake Neher, senior producer for Detroit Today at WDET-FM 101.9, Detroit’s NPR station, will leave to join Automotive News to help lead investment in audio storytelling.

He begins next month.

Previously, Neher was a reporter/producer at the radio station. Before that, he was a Capitol reporter at Michigan Public Radio Network. He has also produced spot and feature reporting for WFUV, NPR affiliate in New York.

He has previously also interned at WDET.

Neher has a M.A. from Fordham University.
