Deputy tech editor Haselton departs CNBC for The Verge

Todd Haselton

CNBC.com deputy technology editor Todd Haselton is leaving the news organization for a job at The Verge.

He will start Jan. 2 as deputy reviews and commerce editor at The Verge, running its product reviews program.

Haselton has been covering technology for 15 years and joined CNBC in 2017. Before CNBC, he was executive editor of TechnoBuffalo and a senior editor at MobileBurn.com

He’s a graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in English.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
