Zach Tracer, who became deputy editor of Business Insider’s investigations team earlier this month, is among the layoffs.
He previously was deputy editor for health care coverage.
He joined Business Insider in 2018. Previously, he was a health care reporter at Bloomberg News.
Tracer has written about how drug prices are set, the insurers who are profiting off Obamacare, and the big firms changing health care to help their workers.
Tracer is a Duke University graduate.
