The Daily Memphian has hired Steve Bohnel as a business reporter.
He covers cover public companies (FedEx, AutoZone, International Paper, etc.), health care (hospitals, St. Jude, other aspects), the airport and other transportation/logistics, and some other areas.
Bohnel previously was at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, starting as a general assignment reporter before quickly jumping on their political desk. Before that, he was reporting for MoCo360, an online news publication in Bethesda, Maryland.
He also spent time reporting at The Frederick News-Post in Frederick, Maryland, and before that, he worked at the Globe Gazette, a newspaper in North Iowa.
Bohnel earned a journalism degree from Temple University
