The Verge reporter Corin Faife, who covers privacy and cybersecurity, is leaving the news organization.
He has been there for a year.
Faife was a data reporter at The Markup. He has worked as a reporter covering technology news in London, Montreal and New York.
Before joining The Markup, he was a journalist and researcher at WITNESS, where he coordinated responses to deep fakes, synthetic media and disinformation in support of the needs of journalists and human rights defenders around the world.
His work has appeared in The Guardian, BuzzFeed, Vice, Gizmodo, CityLab, and Ars Technica. He has also provided citizen journalism training for marginalized groups in the U.K. and in multiple African countries.
