Crain’s Detroit hires Watson as business reporter

Rachel E. Watson

Rachel E. Watson has joined Crain’s Detroit Business as a business reporter to cover the West Michigan market.

Recently, Watson served as a senior reporter at the Grand Rapids Business Journal and as associate digital editor for the Grand Rapids Business Journal’s and Grand Rapids Magazine’s websites.

Previously, she reported on small business, law, human resources, diversity, education, marketing, PR and advertising, the lakeshore, and arts and entertainment for the Journal. Later on, she was promoted to senior reporter.

Watson graduated from Cornerstone University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
