Crain’s Cleveland Business reporter Lydia Coutre is leaving the publication at the end of the week to join Case Western Reserve University in a communications position.
She will become assistant director for research communications.
Coutre joined Crain’s Cleveland as the health care and nonprofits reporter in 2015. Previously, she covered the health and county government beats at the StarNews in Wilmington, N.C.
She has also written for The Indianapolis Star, The Columbus Dispatch, the (Minneapolis) Star Tribune and the Student Press Law Center. Coutre earned her bachelor’s degree in newspaper journalism from Kent State University.
She is also currently the interim data editor at Crain’s Cleveland.
