Aly Brumback
Crain’s Chicago Business managing editor Aly Brumback will be moving to a new position within the company.
She will join the Crain audience team helping to optimize its newsletters across some of the city brands. Crain also has business newspapers in Cleveland, Detroit and New York.
Brumback was promoted to managing editor in November 2023. She joined Crain’s Chicago in March 2022. Since that time, Brumback has overhauled the newsroom’s audience engagement strategies, driving double-digit traffic growth across the website, newsletters and social media.
Before joining Crain’s sister publication Modern Healthcare as an audience specialist in August 2021, Brumback was a 10-year veteran of the Chicago Tribune, where she started as a national content copy editor and page designer before becoming part of the newspaper’s audience team.
