Kevin Kaplan, copy chief at Business Insider, is among the layoffs.

Kaplan has been with the company for more than 11 years and is based on London.

He started with Business Insider as a copy editor in New York. Before that, he was an editorial producer for Major League Baseball.

Kaplan is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
