Cooney has been the author of the “Morning Rounds” newsletter. She joined STAT in 2017 and has worked as a general assignment reporter and STAT+ editor.
Prior to that, she was the Boston Globe’s inaugural White Coat Notes blogger, before moving on to science writing and editing stints at Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT.
She is a graduate of Cornell University.
