CNBC reporter Alex Harring has taken over writing the “Squawk Box” newsletter.
He has been covering the markets and other stories about issues that shape the U.S. economy.
Harring is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he studied English and political science. He interned at The Wall Street Journal.
He worked for four years at The Michigan Daily, most recently leading the Culture, Training and Inclusion team, and as a news editor and reporter before that.
Harring previously interned at CNN, CNBC and The Detroit News, and he spent a spring at NBC News in the Business, Technology and Innovation Unit.
