CNBC tech reporter Steve Kovach is among those departing due to a restructuring.
He has been covering Big Tech companies such as Apple and Microsoft.
“I joined as a writer and editor in 2018, without even a thought I’d make the jump to TV, perform live interviews on stage, launch a podcast, and so much more,” he wrote on social media.
Kovach previously was a senior correspondent at Business Insider. He joined that company in 2010 as a technology reporter and rose through the ranks in a variety of roles, including deputy editor of Tech Insider, which he helped launch in 2015. Additionally, he worked on programming for Business Insider’s annual Ignition conference.
Kovach is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and earned a dual degree in Journalism and English.
