Champion named EIC for Vice World News EMEA

Matthew Champion

Vice World News has promoted Matthew Champion to editor-in-chief for EMEA.

Since October 2020, he had been serving as executive editor for Vice World News EMEA.

Before that, he was at BuzzFeed, where he has worked as a weekend editor and deputy world editor. He was also the former launch editor for The Independent’s i100.co.uk news site.

Additionally, he has also edited for Metro.co.uk and inthenews.co.uk. He has also contributed to Yahoo News, politics.co.uk, World Cargo News, travelbite.co.uk and more.

Champion is a University of Southampton graduate.
