Frank Catalano is returning to the Cascadia Daily News paper in Washington to write an email business newsletter.
In Monday’s daily reader email, he writes:
I’m delighted to be returning to CDN as part of a new initiative — a set of newsletters exclusively for subscribers with original reporting, analysis and personality.Longtime readers might know me as CDN’s regular business columnist and contributor from summer 2022 to fall 2025. I’ll now have a somewhat different role, authoring the new Business Matters email newsletter starting the first week of March.It’s safe to say I didn’t “retire” well. I kept seeing business changes in Whatcom and Skagit counties that I had no place to tell others about, beyond sending the CDN newsroom a brief heads up. (OK, a LOT of brief heads ups.) Now, I’ll be able to share those developments directly with you, every month.I’ll also let you know what I’m reading and ask for your input in every newsletter.
