Business Insider’s Nelken-Zitser moves to new role

Joshua Nelken-Zitser

Business Insider senior reporter Joshua Nelken-Zitser is moving to a new role focused on first-person journalism.

He will be writing as-told-to essays about how people are navigating work, life, and the economy

Nelken-Zitser has been at Business Insider since 2020. Previously, Zitser worked at the BBC Radio in London as a freelance broadcast assistant and producer.

He was also a freelance contributor to WOAW, a marketing agency specializing in personal branding strategy, content creation and management for founders and CEOs. He has also contributed to The Independent.

Nelken-Zitser is a graduate of City University of London with a master’s in broadcast journalism.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
