Business Insider has hired former BuzzFeed senior tech reporter Katie Notopoulos.
Insider editor in chief Nicholas Carlson wrote on Twitter: “Our readers want stories that help them interpret what’s going on in the world, and especially at companies like Meta, Google, Tesla, and Apple. They don’t just want to stay up-to-date on the news — they want a smart friend to tell them why it matters and how to talk about it with colleagues.”
Notopoulos was at BuzzFeed for 11 years, writing about tech and internet culture. That included things like the privacy, news and investigations about Facebook, Twitter, Instagram YouTube, crypto and NFTs, personal tech, influencers, memes, and social media trends.
She also hosted the podcast “BuzzFeed’s Internet Explorer.”
Notopoulos holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University.
