Business Insider hires Dadd as GM of video

Ryan Dadd

Business Insider has hired Ryan Dadd as general manager of video to lead video strategy, audience growth and revenue expansion.

Dadd will focus on expanding Business Insider’s video presence across owned-and-operated properties, social platforms, and emerging digital ecosystems.

He previously led OTT strategy at Warner Music Group’s WMX and served as Vice President and General Manager of Outside Studios at Outside Interactive. Ryan’s leadership has driven significant growth in video engagement, revenue, and platform partnerships.

“Video is one of our top priorities this year, and Ryan will be leading this next chapter alongside our Head of VideoErica Berenstein,” said Business Insider chief revenue officer Maggie Milanow in a statement. “Ryan’s data-driven approach to audience development — paired with his strong track record of delivering revenue growth — will be invaluable for Business Insider’s video offering to partners,”

Business Insider’s YouTube channels have more than 35 million subscribers, and the video team has earned numerous awards including a National Magazine Award, Digiday Video and TV Awards, Edward R. Murrow Awards, New York Emmys and a Webby Award.
