Anthony Bolante, the award-winning Puget Sound Business Journal photographer, died Thursday due to complications following a stroke. He was 58.
Editor in chief Ryan Lambert writes, “Bolante joined the Business Journal in 2011 as a seasoned photojournalist who had built an extensive portfolio through his work with Reuters, Getty Images, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Bellevue Journal-American and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, among others.
“His photography covered a wide variety of subjects and individuals — from business to sports to arts to cultural moments — during a career that began in 1988.
“‘My greatest hope is that everyone who Anthony touched in some way will keep alive all those things that made him special — his love of family, his love of country, love of Seattle and Hawaii, love of his profession and his colleagues,’ American City Business Journals CEO Whit Shaw said. ‘If each of us does that in even the tiniest of ways, the Anthony we knew and loved will continue to be part of our lives.'”
