Washington reporter Ryan Teague Beckwith was among the reporters laid off at Bloomberg News on Tuesday.
He had been with the organization for four years covering the 2020, 2022 and 2024 elections, U.S. politics, election denial and voting systems. He was also a regular guest on “Sound On” and “Balance of Power” on Bloomberg Radio and “Bloomberg Businessweek” on TV.
Beckwith previously worked at Time magazine as a senior editor, Roll Call, Congress.org and The (Raleigh) News & Observer.
He was a 2023 Dateline Award from Washington Society of Professional Journalists for “Five US States Will Decide If the 2024 Election Can Be Stolen.”
Beckwith holds a bachelor’s degree from Wilamette University and a master’s from Columbia University.
