Bloomberg Law has hired Tonya Riley from CyberScoop News to be its senior privacy reporter.
She had been at CyberScoop since June 2021.
Previously, Riley was at The Washington Post covering technology and cybersecurity policy for the Technology 202 and Cybersecurity 202 newsletters as a researcher and reporter.
She has also worked freelance for Buzzfeed, Esquire, Wired, MEL, CNBC and others.
She was also a senior editorial fellow at Mother Jones and a future tense research associate at New America. Riley has also contributed to Inverse.com writing about tech and innovation and was an associate editor at Heleo Media.
She was also a news editor at Brown Daily Herald.
