
Joseph Pimentel has been hired as a business reporter at the Orange County Business Journal covering commercial and residential real estate, development, and the business trends shaping Orange County and Southern California.
He has more than 20 years of experience in journalism, working in newsrooms that include ethnic media, daily newspapers, trade publications and broadcast outlets. His real estate reporting has focused not only on deals and data, but also on the developers, investors, executives, and public officials behind major transactions and development decisions.
Before joining the Business Journal, Pimentel covered commercial real estate and local economies across Southern California for Spectrum News 1 and Bisnow. Earlier, he worked at the Orange County Register, where he served as Anaheim’s watchdog reporter and covered Disneyland, examining the theme park’s business operations and its influence on the region’s tourism economy.
Pimentel’s work has been recognized by the National Association of Real Estate Editors and the Orange County Press Club.
