Bloomberg News journalist Laura Litvan has been laid off from the news organization after 24 years.
She has been covering Congress, both policy and politics. For most of her time, she served as a leadership reporter in the Senate or House, a broad-based job responsible for covering key legislation and Capitol Hill politics.
She was a point person on everything from the passage of Obamacare and the failed 2017 effort to repeal it, immigration, the financial bailout, defense, energy, and five Supreme Court confirmations.
Litvan previously worked as a Washington correspondent for Investor’s Business Daily and as assistant editor for Nation’s Business. She also spent nearly six years as a reporter for the Washington Times.
Litvan is a graduate of Indiana University.
