Bloomberg hires Weinman as leveraged loan reporter

Bloomberg News has hired Aaron Weinman as a leveraged loan reporter.

He will start on Jan. 6. Weinman has been working for the Australian Financial Review in Sydney.

Weinman previously worked Business Insider covering the people, themes, and culture on Wall Street. Previously, he was at Thomson Reuters, where he worked on Finance and Risk business, which was re-branded as Refinitiv. There, he covered the primary leveraged-finance market and Latin American loan market.

He worked at former Euromoney publication LatinFinance, where he reported on the Latin American and Caribbean capital markets and more.

Weinman has a bachelor’s degree from La Trobe University and a master’s degree from Deakin University.

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
