All —
We are excited to announce that Kate Sullivan will be joining Bloomberg News as a White House correspondent.
Kate comes to us from CNN, where she was a campaign reporter and producer, covering Donald Trump’s ultimately successful return to the White House from rallies to courtrooms over a roughly two-year span. Kate wrote stories for CNN’s digital platform, highlighting her skill and expertise in effectively covering breaking news.
On the campaign trail, Kate attended more than 200 Trump rallies and racked up over 300 nights on the road in some 28 states. Prior to covering the Trump campaign, Kate was among reporters tracking the Arizona midterm election and previously worked in CNN’s White House unit covering former President Joe Biden.
Kate will be reporting to Justin Sink on the White House & Politics team. She has expressed an interest in how the White House handles geopolitics and national security, issues beneath the umbrella of our core coverage pillars.
She is a graduate of Georgetown University, fluent in Spanish and has some familiarity in Mandarin.
Kate starts on Monday, Feb. 10. Please join us in welcoming her.
