Bloomberg News and Business Insider are among the winners of a duPont-Columbia Award Silver Baton.
Bloomberg and DCTV won for “Can’t Look Away,” a carefully researched documentary that followed a team of lawyers battling Snapchat, Meta, and YouTube to spotlight the devastating impact social media platforms have on teenagers and their families.
Business Insider won for Satellite Images Track Four Gaza Businesses Upended by War, a short, Emmy-nominated documentary produced by Business Insider’s video team that maps the scale of damage along Gaza’s coastline and examines whether the businesses have a realistic path to rebuild after the war.
The duPont-Columbia Awards, often referred to as the “Pulitzers of broadcast journalism,” recognize outstanding audio and video reporting in the public interest.
The ceremony was held at the Lee C. Bollinger Forum at Columbia University in New York City.
