Andy Burt, a business journalist at places such as Industry Dive and CFO.com, died on Christmas Eve due to a heart attack. He was 49.
Burt most recently was vice president of digital media at Clarion Events. Before that, he was managing editor at Investment News.
He spent nearly eight years at Industry Dive, including time as a senior editor and managing editor. Burt also was an economics editor at Bloomberg News for five years.
Burt graduated from James Madison in 1997 and he also held a law degree from Catholic University.
