Lisa Ryan has been hired by BBC Studios as head of strategic audience development.
She will start Oct. 1.
Based in New York, Ryan will lead BBC Studios’ global audience and curation team, working closely with BBC Studios Editorial and partnering with colleagues across Commercial News, BBC News and the wider organization to enrich the audience experience and support the continued growth of BBC.com and the BBC app.
She comes to BBC Studios from Business Insider, where she led audience and curation strategy across on- and off-platform channels, overseeing the homepage, app, newsletters, social platforms and syndication. Prior to Business Insider, she held editorial and reporting roles at New York Magazine’s The Cut and Law360, and reported internationally as a UN Foundation Press Fellow.
Ryan will report to Ben Goldberger, general manager and executive director of editorial content at BBC Studios.
