Former Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo is eyeing a role at CBS, reports Julianna Salinas of The Mirror.
Salinas writes, “Now, reports are circulating that Maria has been in talks with controversial CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss about a potential position at the network, including a possible 60 Minutes spot.
“One insider told Naughty But Nice that Maria has no intention of ending her broadcasting career after new information was revealed following her shock firing from Fox.
“According to Rob Shuter’s newsletter, one source told the Naughty But Nice podcast host that ‘Maria and Bari have already spoken,’ noting that the veteran journalist did not waste any time after her departure was announced.
“‘Maria isn’t sitting around licking her wounds. She’s moving fast, and 60 Minutes is absolutely in the mix. She wants to remain a major player,’ they added.”
