Barron’s taps Jasinski to cover Fed

Barron’s editor in chief David Cho sent out the following to the staff:

We are pleased to announce that Nicholas Jasinski will be Barron’s new senior writer covering the Federal Reserve and economy.
Nick has been at Barron’s since 2018. His coverage has included commentary and analysis of a wide range of topics in financial markets, from the media and telecom beat, to the latest trends in investing, to macroeconomics and Federal Reserve policy, to company and fund profiles. Nick has been a member of Barron’s stock-picking team, authored the Trader and Sizing Up Small Caps columns, and written the Review & Preview newsletter.
Nick is a three-time Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) Best in Business Awards winner, including for newsletter writing and for his coverage of the media and entertainment industry in the midst of transformative M&A and the “Streaming Wars.” He is a graduate of McGill University and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
