Barron’s hires Salisbury as senior investing writer

We are excited to announce Ian Salisbury is joining Barron’s as a senior investing writer.

Ian has more than 20 years of experience covering markets and helping readers make smart money decisions, both as a writer and editor.

He joins us from Buy Side, the Wall Street Journal’s affiliate-driven shopping and review site, where for the past two years he oversaw money coverage.

Previously, Ian was an editor and staff writer for Money magazine, where he wrote feature stories about topics like investing, retirement and taxes and covered the 2016 presidential election. Earlier in his career he spent a decade writing for several Dow Jones publications including the Newswire, SmartMoney, Marketwatch and the WSJ Digital Network.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
