Barron’s hires Leonhardt as senior economics writer

Barron’s has hired Megan Leonhardt from Fortune magazine to be a senior economics writer.

At Fortune, she has been covering the intersection of policy and finance for the past two years. Leonhardt has also been a senior money reporter at CNBC. She was also a writer at Money.

She was also an associate editor, and then served as senior editor for WealthManagement.com at Penton. She has also worked as a news assistant and reporter at Law360.

She was also an associate editor at Southeast Ohio Magazine.

Leonhardt is a graduate of Ohio University.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
