Dan Shar, executive vice president and general manager of Dow Jones Wealth & Investing, sent out the following:

Team,

On the heels of Almar’s note, David and I wanted to share some additional clarity.

As mentioned, David [Cho] now serves as both the Editor in Chief of Barron’s and adds the newly created role of Head of Content Strategy for Dow Jones Wealth and Investing, where he will lead executive-level editorial and content strategy across the portfolio.

In this new role, David will drive a more comprehensive editorial vision, develop shared operations and audience approaches across the entirety of our publications.

Within our Wealth & Investing group, the Barron’s newsroom leadership will continue to report to David, while the editorial leads for MarketWatch, Investor’s Business Daily, Financial News and Private Equity News will now report jointly to David and me.

This structural change will enable us to build upon the excellent work that the teams are already doing and better leverage our expertise and ensure that we’re best serving our customers with the entire breadth of our products and services. Mark DeCambre, Chris Gessel and Shruti Chopra will work with David to meet with each of their respective newsrooms in the coming days.

This continues to be an exciting time for Dow Jones, and we look forward to building this next chapter together.
