A.J. Baime, the author of the “My Ride” column at The Wall Street Journal, writes about the end of his work for the publication.
Baime writes, “Nearly every week going back to August 2013, The Wall Street Journal has published a My Ride column, highlighting a story about an owner of a surprising vehicle. The column has featured the most-decadent McLarens and Ferraris as well as humble Hondas—even the Hyundai driven by a pizza-delivery man in the northernmost Alaskan town.
“In that time, I have published roughly 600 My Ride columns. This article marks my final one. It will pay tribute to the subjects of these stories as well as the work of dozens of photographers from around the country and abroad, who captured memorable images of them. Over the years, readers have sent in thousands of letters sharing their own passionate stories. Thank you to all who wrote in and to all who have enjoyed these articles.”
