Axios has hired Politico reporter Sam Sabin to write its cybersecurity newsletter Axios Codebook, which will relaunch in August.
She had been writing Politico’s Morning Cyber newsletter.
She joined Politico in early 2021. She had been covering tech policy since January 2019, authoring the Morning Consult Tech morning and afternoon newsletters, along with taking on the tech policy beat and reporting on anything tech- and telecom-related in Washington.
Sabin previously covered national media/marketing/tech news and writing the Morning Consult Brands newsletter.
She joined Morning Consult in 2018 after covering tech for DC Inno.
Sabin is a May 2016 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where she studied business journalism and political science.
