Automotive News hires Dhingra to cover mobility finance

Karn Dhingra

Karn Dhingra has joined Automotive News as a mobility finance reporter.

Dhingra, 43, previously covered Houston for The Real Deal, a New York-based real estate trade publication. His past stops include Sports Business Journal, where he reported on facilities and ticketing, and Bloomberg Industry Group as a Houston-based correspondent covering energy, environmental policy, tax policy, health care, labor, pensions, and federal and state courts in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

He was also a real estate finance reporter at S&P Global Market Intelligence and covered local government in Texas at the Victoria Advocate and Galveston County Daily News.

Dhingra is an alumnus of Southern Methodist University and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
