Matthew Lynley, who covered artificial intelligence and big data for Insider, has left to work on a solo project.
He had been with the site for the past year and was based in San Francisco.
Lynley has spent the last three years as a research analyst and data analyst for Pluralsight, A Cloud Gury and Brex.
He previously was a tech reporter for TechCrunch, BuzzFeed, The Wall Street Journal, VentureBeat and Silicon Alley Insider.
He is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate.
