CNBC hires Ohlen as companies reporter

CNBC has hired Elsa Ohlen as a companies reporter.

Based in London, Ohlen will report on earnings, strategy shifts, leadership changes, and industry trends.

“I’m excited to welcome Elsa to CNBC,” said Spriha Srivastava, vice president and executive editor of Digital, in a statement. “Europe is home to some of the world’s most influential companies, whose decisions shape global markets. Elsa’s experience will help us bring sharp, insightful coverage to CNBC’s global audience of investors, executives, and decision-makers.”

Ohlen has worked as a news reporter and editorial coordinator at Reuters and as a reporter at Barron’s.

Ohlen graduated from Uppsala University with a bachelor of science in political science and economics, and obtained a master’s degree in political science from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
